Ok last nite I feel asleep on the sofa watching TV with hubby...when I woke up I could not get my wedding ring off my hand for nothing. My hands were so swollen and they hurt so bad. I finally with soap, water and a lot of twisting got it off. It has always fit fine with a little room to move.

Could I have eaten something that made me swell, i don't do salt, so that's not it or is it just part of the Herxing? This morning they r still hurting and swollen, not to mention my whole body.......I guess I'm just venting cuz i know u have all been here.

I take pain meds but not an anti-inflammatory. So what can i take with pain meds? What is a good natural anti-inflammatory?

Thanks

Krissy,
that was one of the first things that happend to me when I started treatment. I couldn't get my rings off, I finally took them off when the swelling went down. It hurt so bad I coudn't even make a loose fist. I don't think it was anything you ate if you were pretty much eating the same way you always do. I think it's more lyme based. I know Dana had the same issues too. I've heard this alot.

Krissy,
Any new abx? First thing I thought of was allergic reaction to something. Make sure to tell you LLMd.

I did start the tinasdine but I don't think that was it. I live down in the south and lately it has been hot and humid. I think maybe I attribute my swollen hands to that.

My body can't stand the heat. I don't know how I went to tanning beds in the past and did not get sick,.....ie. Lyme likes heat. I'm guessing that it was in dormant state at the time and waited to come out when my son died.

Who knows....this disease is so strange....all the symptoms and the pain.....AHHH can I get some relief.
I mean can WE get some relief.

If it's any comfort, i get the swollen hands thing, too. My LLMD explained it once but i forgot what he said- haha!! But that must mean it wasn't anything to worry about or do anything about.

I've had some swollen sensations before but I can't remember any literal swelling like that. I'm sure it's possible. The disease is confusing and well, plain stupid! :D That and herxes can pretty much anything possible I suppose. How are your hands now?
