My hands have always been very cold. My little kids hate me helping them getting dressed because my hands are so cold. Not today. My hands are HOT and a little bit tingly. Thel've done this a few times lately. My only new med is Diamox. Any thoughts?

Hi Polly,

It is always so hard to figure out an LD symptom vs something else entirely. It could be a symptom, tingling I know is common for LD and of course new symptoms can pop up at anytime.

What about the Diamox? Have you been on Diamox for awhile or is this new? As you probably know, we can become allergic overnight to anything. Years ago I once had hot hands, from an abx, they made me stop it, saying it was a reaction.

Here are some of the side effects of Diamox - you can read more here: http://www.drugs.com/cdi/diamox-sequels ... sules.html

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); blood in urine; changes in hearing; convulsions; dark, bloody stools; dark urine; fast breathing; fever; lack of energy; lower back pain; red, swollen, or blistered skin; ringing in the ears; sore throat; tingling of the arms or legs; unusual bleeding or bruising; vision changes; yellowing of the skin or eyes.

If it continues into the weekend, you might want to call your doctor to see what he says.

Keep us updated.

Dana

Thanks Dana. I certainly am having some of those symptoms- but it is so strange. The dr. told me to expect them as side effects?!? Confusing. I think i will call on Monday. I really appreciate your input. I didn't know that we could become allergic to something overnight. What's that about?
