Just a yearly Christmas time reminder - for your own safety, NO LIVE CHRISTMAS TREES in your homes!

Tree's can contain ticks, people have been bitten from bringing the "great outdoors" into their homes.

Stick w/a fake tree - they may not have the wonderful pine smell of a real tree, but your families safety is more important than a tree!

My husband said to me the other day "let's get a real tree this year." I said to him, "You mean the kind of tree that is grown out of doors?" He said "YES." The excitement in his face was so there. I said to him, "You mean the kind of trees that deers get near when they are growing in the out of doors." His face dropped and I continued, "You mean the kind of trees that have TICKS in them?"

I said "what kind of present would that be if I got bit by a tick off my own Christmas tree?" He said 'guess you don't want a real tree then huh?"

Sheesh MEN. :)

Jennifer,
About 10 years ago, Danny and Paul went and cut down a tree and brought it home.

I am not kidding, that tree had so many bugs in it, I had to spray it with Raid over and over ...instead of our house smelling like pine it smelled like Raid, it was a nightmare.

Looking back, I didn't even worry about spraying Raid in the house....I wouldn't do that now for anything, pesticides are horrible. Live and learn..never again.

We probably were all bitten then too by ticks...but we had all already had "sporadic" symptoms of LD anyway, I often wonder how many times I have been bitten. Two major flea attacks also meant nothing to me (illiterate fool!) my legs were covered in flea bites, hundreds of bites - I had no idea what was to come.
