Hi Newnoggin,

Welcome.

The results should be listed right above the bands on the Igenex test - it will read positive or negative. From looking at my own test and comparing your positive bands, my understanding it does seem you are positive on both the IgM & IgG.

Here is a link to what each positive band indicates: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15

Lyme and co-infections effect people physically and mentally and symptoms classically wax and wane.

Have you seen a Lyme literate MD? This is important and we can help you here to find one near you.

Let us know if you'd like a referral.

Dear Newnoggin,

Welcome to TALD.
That is one impressive IGeneX result. Dana has given you alot of good reading reference material that is credible and can help guide you. Based on the results and your symptoms, it would be wise to consult a Lyme Literate specialist.

After you have had opportunity to review the references, log on to http://www.ilads.org and click the 'treatment guidelines' on the left column. From there you want to click Joseph Burrascano's Diagnostic Hints and Treatment Guidelines - It is a 33-page publication that serves as a guideline for LLMDs who treat Lyme. It is an educational tool for families. If you are considering antibiotic treatment and/or integrative approach to include immune support and supplementation to strengthen your core system to fight the disease, this is a good place to start.

There is a 'symptom check list' included. If you print this out, you can check it off and take it with you to your appointment.

Then, when you log on to http://www.lymediseaseassocation.org you can click on the 'doctor referral' link at the top of the page and 'register' to search the database by zip code. The doctors listed are ILADs physicians. If you have any questions about a physician that you find there, feel free to let us know.

The top Lyme Neuro Psychiatrists are practicing in NY. If you need a referral to one of two, let me know. They are both excellent and a phone call to their office may lead to a colleague that they have worked with and is trained to treat closer to your area.

It's impressive that you have an IGeneX test already. Was this through your local physician? If so, most ILAD physicians will work with local physicians who are open to doing so.

We hope you find this to be a place of comfort and equipping as you seek the answers for your well-being.
Blessings,
Sojourner (Diana)
