Bless your heart Jaime - please know we pray for you daily...thank you for thinking of everyone else, as usual!!

I want to ask (since Jamie didnt') for prayer for her as well....she has been struggling w/sleep and doing so well staying in the Word and God close to her heart as she struggles as well.

Without God this would be IMPOSSIBLE!

We love you!

LOL, I guess I could have mentioned that. Yeah, I havendn't slept in over a week....when I say havebn't slept, I mean NO sleep. I felt attacks by the enemy, but prayed faithfully to the Lord, I was FINALLY able to sleep last night!!!! Of course you never make up on lack of sleep, so now I'm more tired than ever :) But this too shall pass. Compared to what Jesus went thru, this is nothing, all the ridicullous symptoms I have, is NOTHING compared to what He endured for US. Thank you Jesus

It is horrible, I am going through the nightmare "cycle" early awakenings AGAIN...I just came out of it 2 weeks ago...who said lyme has a cycle? Nonsense!

Glad you got some sleep!

Thank you for reminding me of Jesus and what He went through...always a good reminder. Although for us, this is torture in its own right....and we shouldn't have to, with "every whip we were healed"...I have to really get deep revelation on that scripture and maybe I will be healed.

Keep listening to that Joyce cd Jehova Raffa, it's doing me wonders, and say the prayers she says to say, and BELIEVE them. We were given the ability to use HIS name and do things HE did, I like when she said "there was only one of Him, but there are millions of us"

ironic, once again we're going thru the same things, now that I've been sleeping, nightmares, and up at 5 am, even with xanax. But I'm grateful I have atleast gottten to sleep. extra meds or not, doesn't matter, it's much needed sleep.

hopefullly we talk today. I'm always praying.

Was searching the web tonight in desperation, and felt led to google "Christian and Lyme" and found your site. My name is Sherri and I am thankful to find a forum where people pray for each other. I have Lyme and see an Lyme Specialist for the first time next week to test for co-infections. I have been really scared, but trying to keep my faith in God and His Word. Had my first MRI this week and have felt so weak it is difficult to walk. I am thankful to be here. Please pray for Gods peace and protection as I seek to trust Him one day at a time.

Wanted to ask for a prayer request.

My Primary Care Physician has had me on 2 gm of Rocephin 1x a day 7 days a week. There has been improvement. I saw the LLMD for the first time Friday. She wants me to do Rocephin 2 gm 2x a day for 4 days a week. That is a total of 4 grams daily (for 4 days). She also has put me back on Doxy.

That dose of Rocephin seems very large to me. I dont have a gall bladder and dont want to hurt my liver. My Primary Care Physician thinks 4 grams is high as well, but he states it is up to me, but he will need to order it for insurance purposes and not the LLMD.

The decision will need to be made on Monday morning. Please pray for Gods wisdom, leading, and direction. I dont want to lean on my own understanding, but to acknowledge Him, and that He will direct my path.

Thank you for your prayers for I dont know what to do. Please let me know how I may pray for you as well.

Gods richest blessings,
Sherri

Dana~

Just wanted to let you know I am praying for you. Just saw your YouTube video and it was good to meet you "in person".

I am so sorry the suffering has been intense. Thank you for being an example to me in serving others in the midst of such suffering.

For some reason my pain levels have been at a new level. I know Dana and I are extreme cases as it is, but this is ridiculous. It seems to have started when the weather started changing into spring, been cool and wet, hot then cold, up and down and all over the place! I really don't know if I can go thru another season change at this rate. It doesn't seem to matter what I do, I've tried everything, from extra meds to supplements, otc pain patches, stretching, everything.... I've had a headache for months and my entire spine is just undescribable.

I'm wondering if it has to do with the encephalitis, could my brain be swollen so much that the cerebro-spinal fluid just can't flow right? could that be causing the pain?

I ask that you please pray that I'm able to continue with my schedule for the kids sake. Kate has girl scouts and softball things to do, homeworks and dinner, showers, etc. And that this pain lifts. It's unrelenting and I so need a break. Of course I haven't been sleeping so well because of it, it's not as bad as my herxing no sleep for 10 days issues, but I'm averaging maybe 2-3 hours a night, and you all know how important sleep is for our bodies to heal.
thank you.

I am writing with an urgent prayer request.

The IV Rocephin has quit working (after making improvement) and I have been experiencing pain in my head. I called the LLMD and she stated that it is due to brain inflammation due to the Erlichia, and take ibu until I see her tomorrow. The plan was to start some new antibiotics.

Received liver test results back today and my enzymes are elevated from the antibiotics. So I dont know what is going to happen now. I needed the medication for the brain, but my liver is sore.

The decision for my life is in Gods hands. This is a desperate place I find myself, not knowing the answers, but still believing in my God who heals.

Please pray for me.

Thank you,
Sherri

I will be saying prayers for you. I know how the encephalitis can be, I have it too, and it's a nightmare at times. Sometiems I feel like the cerebro spinal fluid doesn't even have enough room to cirulate correctly.

Pray over this, and spend some queit time with God, He WILL lead you to the right answer, that is one thing I know for sure. Nothing we do is in vein when we follow Him.

Sherri,
Make sure you are on Milk Thistle to protect your liver - talk to your LLMd about it, it has saved my liver through abx.

Rocephin does only go so far, it is a good lyme killer but not a co-infection killer. I know many who stay on it for months, BUT it really should be pulsed like 4 days on 3 days off and orals should be taken while on IV, such as Rifampin (ehrlichia killer and bart kiler) Flagyl for cyst busting, etc...but all very carefully and also pulsed.

I don't know if I gave this link to you yet. Dr. Burrascano (most famous pioneer in LD treatment) has guidelines for treatment - and he describes how to use Rocephin and other abx: http://www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/B_gui ... _17_08.pdf

You are in my prayers,
Dana

Please pray for Gods direction for Hubby and I regarding this weeks decisions.

My current Primary Care Physician, who has been great, and has been prescribing medications/IVs, etc for Lyme is not comfortable with the amount of time my LLMD wants me on antibiotics (8 to 9 months) for Babesia alone. He is concerned for my safety.

He is willing to work with an LLMD within reason. I will need to find an LLMD that takes insurance (there is one 3 1/2 hours away) or find an LLMD that my doctor can trust. It all boils down to insurance as we are not wealthy. All this during a time when some symptoms seem to be coming back. I really need to know Gods leading and direction in a very special way this week. Just to know His blessing on this week. I dont know what to do and dont feel I can go to the Infectious Disease clinic because they believe 3 weeks of Doxy cures Lyme. They also believe 7 days on Zith/Mepron cures Babesia.

Thank you for your prayers. Trusting He will work in a special way.

Sherri

Sherri - Most primary Md's don't understand what it takes to get LD and co-infections under control. Many lymies, maybe most, have to stay on abx for years when it is chronic and there are many who have to stay on abx a lifetime to stay as symptomless as possible.

Rule of thumb, stay on abx until symptom-free + 2 months beyond that. If symptoms return - then treatment will be "open ended".

My primary thought a month of abx was too long...goes to show you, they need education.

Always in my prayers,
Dana

You know J - I am always praying for you. I wonder if you were doing better on abx? It seems like you were..I wish you had kept a diary...it really is hard to remember correctly what happens without a diary.

You should start a diary now...and then ANYTHING natural or abx (if you go back on them) see how you do.

You should do the treatment in Cure Unknown that Burrascano and the author did...Molly is doing it. Read her prayer post. This protocol intrigues me so much, I mean of all the meds and protocols Burrascano could choose from he chose that one and it got him and the author of the book well.

If I get clearance on my supposid allergy of the cepholosporins, maybe I will try it before IV.

Prayers - only my opinion, I think you should see Dr. J again - you can't care about getting worse, actually with the kids home for summer - I think it is good timing. Let other mom's invite your kids over and have John help out when he can...you need to try abx again or a really intense natural treatment.

I will be going for it over summer, trying many things before I start IV. Should be fun, but you never know, I might find something that brings me up to a higher level...just HAVE TO be ok with the cepholosporins, I just gotta be. Please pray on that one for me.

I think the "getting worse part" will be short lived and then if you stick to it faithfully (and never miss a day) you will feel better. The one thing about this, it seems those who get well stick to their protocol for years (you know that) - you could even try Bicilin...it did good stuff for me, or even Rocephin shots! Or like I said the "Burrascano cure".

Love,
Dana

Just wanted to ask for prayer.

As many of you know I was on Doxy and it left my intestines burning. I tried to start the Biaxin my LLMD prescribed, but it caused further burning so I had to stop. Last night I slept with an icepack on my abdomen just something to take away that burning feeling. I am not driving yet, so I am still looking at ordering things to help over the internet.

It is scary to be off antibiotics. Makes me realize even more how much my life is really dependent upon God and how much I need Him just to be alive. Please pray for direction for treatment, my faith to be strong, and healing of my intestines. Without being on abx all my symptoms are coming back. Thank you.

Hi Sherri,
You will surely be in my prayers.

I wonder if you need a PPI - such as Nexium, Prilosec, etc., they heal the stomach and duodenum. A natural alternative my LLMd like is a supplement called Mastic Gum (it is a capsule not gum) and can be bought at iherb.com.

Ask your LLMd and also maybe something like Amoxcillin or Omnicef (a beta lactam) would help with lyme symptmoms w/o hurting your stomach. Remember to take very strong probiotics, w/CFU's in the billions.

Hugs,
Dana

yeah, I would have to agree with Dana here, definitly look into something like prilosec, I hear that mastic gum is pretty good too... and probiotiocs are really important too. even when you're not taking abx, still stay on the probiotics.

I will be praying that God leads you in His direction, in a way He can use you, and you will find peace in any decision you make.

Thank you ladies for the information. I will look into ordering from the internet. Contacted my PCP, they instructed me to eat lightly and give intestines a rest.
Been taking about 30 billion probiotic a day. Will order an additional one with more strains.

I have been crying everyday. My symptoms continue to get worse without abx. I see a new LLMD next week. I dont have the strength to fight this anymore. Whatever Gods will -- trusting His grace. I really, really need His help.

I had a lot of colon/intestinal problems. They started Sept 2007. I had to stop Biaxin immediately, was not been able to tolerate abx so I went the homeopathic route. Diet is very, very important. Psyllium coats the intestines - it can be bought in health food stores - I just ate a lot of cooked okra, which has psyllium. Also, go easy on red meat, white flour, unrefined sugar, and dairy. I ate (and still do) a lot of cooked veggies & organic chicken, take a 50 billion CFU probiotic 2x/day. A little exercise - walking - is good for the digestive system. Detoxing is very important. Abx are very harsh on the body, even if they help symptoms - they can really destroy the immune system. As toxins are eliminated, they must pass through your excretory system, so the intestines, even with probiotics, will start to get inflamed after a while. The good thing is they can heal themselves with proper diet and regular, gentle detoxification. Just speaking out of personal experience...
