I have one more I just learned today...VERY important to me, my Dad has made a decision, I do not support. He is 83 and has an aortic aneurysm and will have surgery in December...I am not happy with this choice. He is very active and healthy otherwise, I am very afraid this surgery could cause complications or death...we are very close and this breaks my heart. My pain is spiking already.

Thanks for :prayer:
Dana

Jennifer's Granny In Law

My husband's "Granny" (woman who was just like a grandmother to him and mother to his mother) passed away suddenly from cancer they discovered a few weeks ago. She's one of those spunky women that just spunks around and does everything. Went to the beach less than a month ago and was "mad" at the doctor and offered to give him a spanking because he kept her from dancing Saturday night. She passed away yesterday after getting her "hair done and make up put on" by her daughter.

I appreciate you for initiating this prayer time for dear ones, Lisa.

I read each of your notes and am sorry for the suffering and hopeful for mercy and grace for the little ones and the older ones. I am impressed at the reaching outside of 'ourselves' while including the real needs within.

I spent time in prayer for your loved ones and friends and for each one here, this afternoon.

Blessings,
Diana

Another addition...
Please pray for the 3 of us. We could lose our home in 60 days. Lyme has financially annihilated us, our home loan was a 5 year fixed at a very low rate and we just received official notice the loan is up in less than 60 days. They estimated a new payment we could NEVER afford.

As you know housing values have plummeted many are losing their homes and walking away...this is realistic for us. We are working with our lender to see if we can "modify" to something affordable and be able to stay, rather than refinance our loan, (refinancing is impossible anyway) we need a miracle.

There is so much happening, very serious stuff for us, in the next 60 days -I will be in continual prayer, not just for us but everyone on the list, including all of us.

This is the song I can't stop singing, I love it, it just so fits my life and that is ok -I have to have faith, just no way around it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNEhKLrsUfo

Thanks everyone.

Oh Dana,
You know that I understand this so very well.
I am on my knees for your family, for the meeting with the lender, for God's mercy to the hearts of those who are having to make different decisions as they face homeowners. I pray for integrity, truth and ingenuity that reflects something different from what 'they' predict and so many will find themselves facing, not b/c of serious illness in their families but b/c of selfishness and overspending. I pray for peace in your hearts and for God's provision for where He would have you 'live' for Him.

I know it is very serious. I stand in unity with you. We are at the same place but not in facing the 60 day notice - yet.

Our dear senior 77 year old friend, bachelor all his life, frugal, pastor, very wise, stood the test of time - told us that before he goes to be with the Lord, he wants me to realize and know with confidence, faith sight unseen, that God will provide according to His will and His purpose for our lives; and to be confident that the Lord knows and is trustworthy...worthy of our trust and that I am to simply believe.

And then he always quotes Romans 8:28 for me...More Than Conquerors
...And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose....

and then he quotes Proverbs 3:4-6 for me...
Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

I pray for that kind of blessing in your life and rock solid faith to keep your heart as you wait on the Lord.

In His love,
~d

The Feds are supposed to come out with some official guidelines soon with regards to renegotiaing mortgage loans. My husband took over my mortgage job last year - I was in the business for 25 years. The business is so bad that he is making about 10% of what he normally was making. Things are so very bad right now.

I just asked him if lenders are currently negotiationg and he said to definately do what you are doing and talk to them. It actually looks good that something will happen very soon - within 60 days - and I am praying for you my dear friend. Some congresspeople want lenders to keep payments right where they are and not to change them at all.

I am so sorry I missed this until today!

I hated these mortgage products when they came out and I hate them even worse today.

Hi Molly,
Thank you. You know it was the "perfect" loan at the time. My husband was having surgery on his back and both knees and we went for it NEVER believing things in 5 years would be worse and I'd be down for the count too!

Thank you for your prayers. Paperwork has been submitted and we will see...

This is a wonderful thread, such a great idea to have all our prayer needs listed right here.
I have another one to add. My mom has been my rock, my entire life, she's been my mom and my dad basically. She is the strongest woman I know and I so admire her. She's really the only one whose done anything for us, and she's done so much for us, and for so many others,... well, when she and my step dad got divorced, he kind of left her high and dry, with a business HE wanted to open, an auto body repair place, and she's been stuck running it, while he's down with his new wife collecting a pay check for doing nothing, and she has had times she can't even cash her own checks. Well, it looks as though some things are changing in her favor, some major new accounts, and getting the ex husband out of the picture finally. Please pray this all goes well for her , she so deserves to have this burden lifted off of her.

There is a small window of time in which she can have the surgery. God is on her side. Please pray for her.

I just want to thank you all for the prayers, and let you know I have been praying for all of you.

Diana, I missed your post, but saw on here that you are having some things going on and I'm so sorry I missed that post. Of course you know you are in my prayers all the time, you Bear and Heth.

Prayers please -

A tree fell in our yard the same exact day (ironically) our dog fell and could no longer walk.

The prayer request is that Paul is cutting up that tree and makes me a wreck that there could be nymphs in there...say a prayer that he is safe as he cuts up this tree, that no ticks attach to him or are brought in on his body to bite any of us inside the house.

Sounds silly, but I have seen ticks (nymphs) in our yard and the last thing he needs is another bite, he has been doing quite well.

So prayers of protection appreciated.

Dana, it's not silly. After our lives have been turned upside down by such a little critter, I can understand your thoughts. Prayer said my lovely.

I know he thinks I am a lunatic - I make him undress in the garage throw his close outside and RUN for the shower.

That bug has destroyed so many people and caused me so much pain, I am nuts about anyone coming in from outside.

Thanks for prayers my lovely. :D

Please add to pray for my husband who is starting (part time) his new job while still working his current job (until they close the division or he gets his bonus - whichever comes first).

Thank you, everyone!

Prayer said Molly.

I need more prayers as well, very serious - we are in the middle of trying to save our home, we were in a 5 year fixed rate loan that is now up. Our efforts are not working out at this point and we now have to involve a lawyer to see if he can help us.

Please pray that we can keep our home - if we can't I honestly do not know where we would go or what we would do and with all of us battling LD we so much need our home.

Please pray for Danny too as he has started Bicillin and finding it very hard already...in Jesus name.

PLEASE God hear our prayers for each other ..... the Glory belongs to you alone.

Prayers said for both of you. Please God, hear our prayers in Jesus' name. We all really need this to turn around.

I fell down our steps yesterday, about halfway down. I had already been in absurd pain, so obvously this is a nightmare for me. I just talked to Dana, I'm just in complete depression at this point. I don't even want to celebrate Thanksgiving or Christmas. I'm becoming withdrawn, I'm sure it's just a phase. I just feel broken. I can't stand the pain, and I have been in a constant state of panic attack for I dont know how long, between the kids in school, which is a whole long story for another thread, to my broken body, to finances, and you all know how it is.

Please God, help us all.

If you don't mind - i would like for you to be in prayer for my family.

My husband has been given an opportunity to work for my llmd doc! - we are in Tn and he is in GA - this is huge
We were both raised in Tn and this would be a big move !

We want to be in the will of the Lord and we know that we will not be happy unless we are in His will.

This seems like such an awesome opportunity for my husband and us and like things are just falling into place ! Please pray with us that He makes it evident - his plan and most of all give us His peace!

and that worrying and trying to "figure things out" ceases!!
(like what about our children and family and this illness and i won't know anyone there and a new home and on and on...) peace and trust!

I am thankful for all of you and i am honored to be able to pray for you too!

My dad's (Danny's grandpa) surgery is early Tuesday morning - aortic aneurysm.

Please pray that God guides the surgeon's hands, that there are no complications and that this extends his life as it is meant to and that he recovers quickly.

I must admit, I am sort of nervous and nauseated about this.

Thank you for your prayers
Dana :prayer:

I ask that you all pray for my family. I had been on zith this past month, and it's been aweful. I've been pretty much incapacitated. John has had to do everything. I was sure to praise him in ear shot so he would hear me saying how I feel about him, I even sent him ecards thanking him for everything.
Last night, I asked him to wake me up so we could have some "us" time, this time of year our favorite thing to do is watch Christmas movies late at night together. He was in an aweful mood when he woke me up, I asked why and he said "because I hate my life". I asked why he woke me up if he didn't want to spend time with me and he said "because you asked me to".

It broke my heart. This is tearing us apart. I pushed myself so hard yesterday, took the kids to my moms, messed up some Christmas cookies of my own, did all the dishes, put them away, then was going to make his favorite cookie. He wanted to finish up some shopping, so we headed to the mall, which put me in agony to walk thru. Then we picked up the kids, came home, then to his dads and then to his moms. all I could do was lay on the couch at both places. I was up the entire night before, with the kids in my "big" bed, and was just running on empty.

Please pray he comes around, and has the faith that I am getting, let him lighten up on all of us. as well as let me lighten up. Pray that even though I feel like my body can't move, that I can do it, and do things as a family.

Jaime you are in my prayers, as you know. The problem lies in no understanding of this disease, no one could possibly understand how brutal it is unless they lived it. I don't eve think our LLMD's really know how bad this is, how much pain, they try to understand like everyone else, but they couldn't possibly know what this feels like. So with that in mind it is no wonder spouses of lymies I am sure most have felt they were "breaking" at some point - there is nothing worse than to see someone you love suffer and there is not one thing you can do about it, that, it is pure frustration. I pray for you to have better days ahead and for hubby to really come to God w/his frustrations and be comforted. A disease w/no cure, people w/ no understanding - our only Hope lies in God and His guidance and comfort He offers.

Love,
D

A guy in our neighborhood is having massive surgery today. He is having a nerve cut at his BRAIN STEM. It's going to sever the nerve between his brain and his ear. He will lose his hearing in one of his ears. This should stop a variety of medical problems that he's had over the last year

1. He lost his job when he couldn't medically do it anymore, but they told him he has his job back as soon as he's medically able to return.
2. She lost her job two months ago when her company was laying off people.
3. They have three children
4. Thanks to some very generous angels in the area; they no longer have the foreclosure proceedings on their home and their electricity has been covered (it was due to be turned off last week).
5. He'll be in the hospital 5 days. Then have a 6 to 8 week recovery time.

Lisa,
prayers said for grandma Betty. Let us know what happens, please.

Jennifer, prayers also said, sounds like an intense surgery.

Praying that God is with them both, and guiding the surgeons hands, giving them the know how, to make this all right.

Thank you God for answered prayers, thank you to everyone here who prayed for my dad. His surgery was now 2 days ago, he is up and around and doing well, as many horrendous things that have happened in our lives - this is like a ray of hope. Praise God!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jennifer I said a prayer for your neighbor, I want to say that I not only prayed for a quick healing but that he will NOT go deaf in that ear, that God saves his hearing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Please continue to pray that we don't lose our home - it is mid December, our lender is NOT budging and we now have a lawyer involved, but this only puts us further into debt. We need a financial miracle. I see NO other way - God hear my prayer.

His surgery went well. He's still in bed and not allowed to walk or eat. His symptoms will get worse before they get better (sound like a herx to you?), but he should be home in about 4 days. That's what they are praying for. Pray for some rest for the mom. She's exhausted.

Glad your Dad is doing good Dana! My Grandma is also doing well. She just got back home and we just got off the phone. She sounds so much better. She has a lot of tests to do and has to start meds for the first time in 83 years but her spirits were great! Thanks for your prayers everyone!

I just found out my uncle, at age 55 has a very aggressive form of lung cancer. He's been an alcholic his entire life, never did much with his life, but still an all around good guy. My step dad is still in shock from the news, in a way. It's ironic, as they watched thier dad die an early death from emphysema, and my dad was saying when he was just here, after visiting Uncle Tim that it reminded him of his dad, then just found out last night about the cancer issue.

I don't think there will be any treatment , not sure on many details as of yet, but please keep him in prayer, that God be with him, along with the rest of the family.

thank you my lovelies
jaime

Please pray for me.

I know it sounds silly, but I have a cold. :(( I just stopped having my last cold about two weeks ago. It's frustrating because I can not remember a single Christmas that I haven't had a cold/sinus infection. EVER.

The way my colds last (weeks) .... and this just started yesterday ... unless a miracle happens, I will be sick on Christmas. I will probably have no voice. My colds start off with a little sniffly nose and little cough. Then it progresses to headaches, stuffy nose, more cough. Then the cough is so bad and the nose is dripping so badly that I can barely function. Then ... finally the sniffly goes away, but my voice is hoarse from the coughing. Then finally about 7 days of no voice ... I get it back ... And then the coughing finally goes away about a week after that. So please pray that I kick this things butt faster than normal

More prayers needed for my dad. They put him on Cipro and seriously to me it sounds like he is herxing! He said this exactly, "I feel off balance, and my brain feels foggy" He is NOT eating at all. He is off the Cipro now, I pray it didn't awaken "lyme" - I have always thought (since I was diagnosed) both my parents have LD. In any case, pray he starts eating and regains balance - he has lost 10lbs since surgery.

Prayers for your Uncle Jaime - wow, so sorry to hear this.

Prayers for your cold not to manifest Jennifer or you are completely well by now.

Hugs everyone,
Dana

Jennifer, prayers said. I know, I always feel silly complaining about a cold, but people don't understand it's so much harder on us, and so not what we need.

Dana, I know we've talked about this already with your dad. I will continue to pray for him. I don't like that he had that type of reaction at all.

I know, I always feel silly complaining about a cold, but people don't understand it's so much harder on us, and so not what we need.

*the thing is about the cold*

I was exposed to not one, not two, not three, but FOUR people with Pnuemonia in the last 10 days. Two of the four had to be admitted to the hospital. I was exposed to shingles last week AND bronchitis. My mom is really sick with "something" and is on major medications (major antibiotics, steroids *can you hear me gasping when she told me that ... but we are postive she doesn't have Lyme she's never had any symptoms of anything bad .. she rarely even gets a cold*, nebulizer with two different meds and also something else. Her doctor wants her to go to the hospital, but she refuses.

I'm like MOM GO get them ... Go get IV antibiotics and feel better. She said "I finally understand how you feel. All I can do is be in bed and it takes all the energy out just to get up and go to the bathroom." She has always been compassionate about Lyme and my issues, but maybe she finally realized just how bad life sucked for me for many years.

So I'm afraid this 'cold' will turn into Pneumonia or Asthma (where they'll want to give me STEROIDS). That's why I"m freaking out a bit.

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31
