I lived it, I am an EXPERT on positional vertigo I lived w/it for many months and saw many doctor's until I met a genius Md...this will get rid of it! There are other methods I have heard of, but some are ridiculous..this works! Read my p/m and/or your email!!

My in laws came over today and they hadn't opened their email yet. I read them parts of your third email from last night (it had much detail - THANKS) while they were here and they were going to read the other info when they got home. I explained how it came back several years later and you cured it in a day again.

They said they were going to try it so I'll let you know how it goes.

I sure know a lot more about vertigo than I did several days ago.

Here is some more info on it and a different method than what I taught you...but please try the method I taught you, it worked like a charm both times. I suppose in a week or so (I was told it would take up to 2 weeks, both times it worked the first day!), if nothing changes he could try this version of it at the "at home treatment" link.

But like I said if it is truly an inner ear generated dizziness, the excercise I taught you will work..without fail! If not try this excercise on this site, after that if that doesn't work, consider asking for a brain MRI and possible echo for the heart and/or ekg...that is what my ENT told me, it can only be 3 possiblities, inner ear, brain or heart. Although he also told me that adults with bad inner ear infections get extreme cases...I didn't have an infection (Lyme was percolating for me though) and my case was so severe, I had to crawl on the floor.....most horrible feeling there is, I kid you not.

Molly - is he doing them? If so improvement should be seen by now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi Susan,
Here it is:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There are other methods of this available online, some are absolutely ridiculous, some you could actually hurt yourself. One girl told me she was taught to hurl herself backwards hard! STUPID!! This is gentle and easy - try this first before anything you may read.

I had positional vertigo once for 3 months!! I saw 10 doctors all said it would resolve on its own, it did NOT! No one could help me. I was so bad at times I was crawling on the floor.

Anyway, I met a WONDERFUL Ear Nose Throat Md who showed me how to get rid of it. I thought he was a quack...but this works! (He later retired in his 40's due to Parkinsons - wish I could find him and educate him about Lyme).

Anyway..

The reason for positional vertigo is that we have in our inner ear grains of sand like particles that get into another area of the ear and it throws off our balance. The following will work if it is inner ear related, if this doesn't work, it can be brain or heart related. But "true" positional vertigo is always inner ear. This will induce dizziness, but it will push the sand like particles back to where they belong, just like Lyme the cure is worse than the "disease" - but it works, it works!:

BVP (benign positional vertigo) CURE:

Lie on your back on the floor - flat on your back. If it induces dizziness STAY there until it stops.

Then - ROLL up onto your right side, whole body onto your right side, if it induces dizziness, stay until it stops.

Then - Roll back to your back - if it causes dizziness stay there until it stops.

Then roll up onto the other side, if it causes dizziness stay there there until it stops.

Then roll back to your back ----THIS COUNTS AS ONE! REPEAT THIS OVER AND OVER as much as you can, if nausea starts, stop and try again later in the day.

REMEMBER STAY PUT WHEN DIZZINESS HITS UNTIL IT STOPS. Do as many as possible, if you can only do one then fine, later in the day try again. When you can work up to 20 you are normal.

The doctor who taught me this was a genius, I found out later, he was invented certain hearing aids...I remember going home crying thinking I'd have vertigo forever, I got on the floor and the first day
I did this exercise it went away. It can take up to a week or two, but I bet...it works faster.

If dizziness does not go away w/this exercise, the Md told me to have a brain MRI or my heart checked, as only these 3 things cause vertigo.

Any questions - p/m me at the forum.

Not sure - my husband just spoke with him and didn't ask!

I think (not sure) my FIL is going by what his physicians say - he does have one that treated his TMJ with two visits and I think he's going to her.

I just hate it when he won't listen!! He says he is going to try this - I just don't know if he's waiting to get an OK from his physician or not.

URGGHH.

Hi - Tried to post yesterday but my computer wacked out on me.

My FIL's vertigo is much better. He is using your therapy and his Dr. told him how to do it on a bed.

He does still have symptoms of being sick so we suspect he has a virus (which can cause vertigo, too) but at least his vertigo is better.

Thanks so much for you prayers and your help in getting his vertigo better!

Hugs and Blessings,

Molly

Was the bed one on the link I gave you? I've never heard of that one until I started researching.

I am glad it is getting better! Keep having him do it daily.

As bad as getting a LD diagnosis, Md's told me it was viral too...it wasn't. :sick: Unless of course he has in inner ear infection and feels sick. I didn't - I just had vertigo without any other symptoms.

Don't remember all the details but I do remember you giving me info that you could do it on a bed. Well, that sounded funny, didn't it?

I'm not sure how well he is performing these exercizes because today I learned that he hasn't been able to go off of his vertigo meds. He had an MRI and every other test under the sun while he was hospitilized so we can rule out that other thing you mentioned (severe PMS and brain fog today, sorry!)

Maybe he isn't doing them frequently enough. My MIL is pretty good with directions (he's not) so I'll make sure she's very involved in all this. And here I thought he was doing so much better.

Have a lot going on - packed hubby for his 10 day trip to Italy, etc. Dropped my whole little family at the airport today. They were so nervous and excited I was happy to see them go but I'm sure I'll start missing them soon.

Thanks again for your help.

Molly

I posted all details above if you need them again. I don't put much faith in that bed method...I can't, I know what works. Men are funny!! He wanted to get Md permission for rolling on the floor??? hee!hee!

Tell him to do it and keep doing it everyday several times until gone...simple as that, it works, unless of course he likes the feeling of never being able to get off a roller coaster! GAG!!

The only thing they usually prescribe for vetigo is dramamine and valium...neither cure it, only calm your stomach and mind. Is this what they prescribed? Unless abx for inner ear infection.

You sound busy...go easy...

Love,
Dana

I think he was given two meds - one was for naseau and I think the other is for vertigo. I will find out.

In a way I don't even want to talk to him anymore about this because I'm just going to get upset.

I asked FIL about his meds. Apprantly there is an anti vertigo med and it's called of all things "antivert" (according to him - it may be something similar to that). The other is anti nausea.

He is doing fine with out the meds, now. Could he have healed earlier........

LOL

Love

Molly
