I remember worrying when I had my first LD test if it would come back negative because I had been on abx 2 weeks when the blood was drawn. :duh:

Nearly 2 years of Lyme Disease treatment, have NOT missed one day of abx and I am IgM POSITIVE (actively infected) still. I have been Retested about 5 times in 2 years - always positive. Lyme Disease IgG Negative (use to be positive)

I have had multiple tests on the co-infections - over and over to make sure nothing new shows up. Igenex must be very accurate because they are always the same, except Bart is gone now yippeee!!

Bartonella - Negative (retested - Negative again)
Babesia - Negaitve (always has been--praise God!)
HME Ehrilichia flip flopped - my Igm this time is 1:80 (dropped from last tests from 1:160)
HME Ehrilichia Igg this time 1:160 (went up from last test from 1:80)
HGE Ehrilichia Negative on the Igm and Igg (was positive on the very first test but last 4 tests negative)

I have done NO Ehrilichia treatments (but Biaxin is thought to possibly kill it)...the IgG going up doesn't mean much to me, if anything that seems good since IgG means past infection (or antibodies to the infection) not sure.

My results could prove what Burrascano said, "Before we knew about co-infections we just treated lyme and treated lyme and treated lyme and people got well eventually". One of my LLMD's also says the same thing, get LD under control the immune system will fight the co-infections.

I have mostly "treated lyme" - even though I am aware the tests aren't written in stone - they are amazing to watch over time, especially Bart, the titers dropped from a strong positive and then dropped and dropped until negative. I have been retested 4 times (at least) on Bart, last 2 tests negative, I won't be tested any further. If it is actually gone that would be thanks to Biaxin...Dr. S belives Biaxin kills Bart and is no longer an issue.

So anyway...pretty much the same as last time.

very interesting Dana. Kinda good news I guess. At least seems like bart is gone. what does erlichia treatment consist of? I thought biaxin/bicillin would be touching that.

i don't know about tests for us anyhow, as bad as we feel..I wonder if so much of it actually has to do with active viruses, you know. they say there is nothing more painful than active viruses.

Yeah - it is neither good nor bad, just the same really. I have read the longer the Lyme IgM stays positive, year after year that is not a good sign. I hate that book anyway, I opened it to read about Ehrlichia symptoms and came across that immediately. Great.

I think I need to move on from Bicillin/Biaxin, it isn't the answer. Either Doxy, Flagyl or Rifampin for Ehrlichia and every single one of those drugs scare me to death. I am guessing no matter what I choose, I am going to have to pulse it - Doxy is last on the list, I might try Rifampin next, God help me - really it can create vertigo and I am prone to vertigo.

The tests certainly don't explain my high pain levels - but yes the dreaded viruses, both LLMD's agree they are causing much of my pain.
