I know that back in January or so she "ordered" something for me. She hadn't intended on telling me, but it slipped up in conversation. This thing was backordered and she had no idea when i'd get it or if i'd get it. I kindly thought maybe she cancelled it when she had to go to New Mexico and Hawaii for treatment. I haven't talked with her since she left for New Mexico. I miss her dearly.

Well yesterday I had somewhat of a bad day. Today may even be "worse" to some degree so just pray for me. It's part Lyme and part work. 1st, I worked my regular shift yesterday and then had a staff meeting last night. Put me getting back fairly late and generally when I get back from those it takes me a while to wind down. So I got 6 hour of sleep last night. To top it off, today I work two hours longer than normal. I was hoping it was a mistake, but I just looked and realized why I work two hours longer. Another teacher has already called out sick too. So I not only will more than likely be staying until when they have me off ... They probably won't get me off on that time either. They don't understand that I just have an extremely hard time doing stuff like that.

Anyways, I got back home last night at 9:30 or so. There was this small package on the thing behind my couch. I was like "
what's that?" I looked at it was addressed to me from a place that I have ordered things before. BUT I was thinking "My Lord what did I order?" I could not figure it out. I open up the little box and there it was. A "Snowbaby." This snowbaby is two little girls with towels on unwinding. it's beautiful. I definately needed a little reminder that somebody cares. This did that.

Hi Jennifer,
That is adorable and so thoughtful of Lindsey. Do you know how she is doing at all? She seemed to be so content and LOVE Dr. R..I am so surprised she left him to go to New Mexico and then Hawaii (Hawaii is really is confusing). I know people in Hawaii w/Lyme that fly into California for treatment, so I can't imagine what would be in Hawaii - except beautiful (I do mean) beautiful beaches and sunsets.

I thought of you yesterday, just noticed you hadn't been around the last couple days as much, I had a feeling you were working a lot...funny, hu.

I too have had a very hard time lately, it seems we all go through these bad phases together, Jaime has had it rough too...

I always pray for the forum members, so your are covered. I hope God makes the load lighter soon.

If you hear anymore from Lindsey...let us know.

:hands:
Dana

They are absolutely adorable. (Sorry, Dana..I had the same thought as you!)

What a precious gift to share between two dear friends.

I am sorry you are hurting. I will be thinking about you today and praying for a trust that brings hope and a strength that keeps your chin pointed upwards where the Lord is right there to comfort and raise you up, so that you keep believing and are able....just for Him.

God bless, Sojourner

I haven't talked to Lindsey since she left for New Mexico. Beofre seh left, she was doing really really badly. I mean REALLY BADLY. Her doctor in New Mexico sent her to a specialist in Hawaii. I think it has something to do with something or nother that I just can't remember right now.

As for me, I've had the worst headache today. I've not had a headache like this since my major herx on the four abx .. and then before that before I was even diagnosed and was getting an MRI for the pain. I even had to take my glasses off, curl up in a fetal position and just lie there for a while. Fortunately it calmed enough to get up and have my friend take me somewhere to get something to eat. He bought me a Ham Biscuit from Bojangles (my LLMD said if I felt particularly bad to eat something with salt in it to see if an increase of sodium would help). I felt almost immediately better. It's still there, but at least i'm not in the fetal position anymore.

Geez...I wonder what happened..she went on IV was happy to start....I am sick to hear she is so bad, extra prayers for her...PLEASE keep us posted on her.

I am sorry you have felt so rotten... what is it about the fetal position? For me it really relieves pain...really. Since getting LD, I like lying on the floor and stretching out too...weird, but whatever helps.

Glad to hear sodium helped...are you still only doing 5 days of abx per month, or did your LLMD put you back on full time abx again?

LD stinks!

Love,
Dana

that was so sweet, and perfect timing too.

sounds like we are all doig really badly lately...Dear God please be with us, I know I don't know how much more I can take and I need a break, as I'm sure my dear friends do. I haven't been able to cry in a long time and lately it's all I've been doing.

I'm still on the 5 days on and 3 weeks off. The PROBLEM .. is that those 5 days are absolutely tremendous when I take the abx the way I am supposed to. The last 5 days on, I did NOT follow directions because I had to be in a classroom. On most days I am not in a classroom full time. We had so many people out .. so I took enough to get rid of some bacteria, but not enough to do major damage. This time I have requested day 4 and day 5 off so I can pack a big punch with the drugs. I was able to get day 5 off .. we'll see about day 4. Day 4 will be more than likely ... stay there and if I start feeling absolutely horrendous, she'll probably be able to get me out of there early.

If I had done the meds like I was supposed to, I would be fine right now. Also the pollen is absolutely ridiculous right now. AND I always feel awful when it's awful. I have a horrible pollen allergy. I would take Zyrtec (which I plan on doing today), but it makes me so drowsy that I could sleep for days. SO I can't take it during the work week.

As for Lindsey, I know she is doing better. ...

This is what she says on her facebook group page.

Well,
I guess its about time to start really thanking all of you. Right now I'm in Hawaii, walking, extremely happy, and no longer blue in the face. I even have a little tan. My eyes are brighter, I'm hardly in pain, and I'm around wonderful people. So how can I complain? I'm very close to 100% healthy. I can feel it around the corner.

THANK YOU for raising me up. It obviously worked. I'm going to close this group pretty soon, although prayers are always needed:).

Mahalo
Lindsey

Awww, how cute.

Glad you are feeling better overall, can you take something non-drowsy for your allergies?

Everything that I take makes me drowsy .. even Claritin NON DROWSY .. makes me drowsy.

Zyrtec really is the best.

I have made a decision though. I think until I am ready to wam bam thank you mam with the real 5 days .. I may just take Minocycline until May 5th when My 5 days is ready to start.

I just had a massage from the hubby which helped my back quite a bit. I had a nap which helped. I just found some GREAT Youtube videos that were not posted. So I may go to the youtube post and post a message there with them.

Jennifer,
That is exactly why I asked if your LLMD put you back abx full time, because most don't feel good off them. Have you considered staying on?

Well that is great about Lindsey, encourage her to come back here and tell us all about how she got well, people need to know how others are getting well.

The thing is that you guys don't hear when I feel GREAT. I went in what .. February .. February was graet .. March was great .. now it's April .. I only really started not feeling well the last week or so .. unless I was herxing while I was on my meds. I mean I may have had a bad day here or there .. but it was one bad day. Not bad days. When I am on the abx ... I feel so unbelievably bad. IF I were to back to daily abx ... I think I would just crash completely. He may go back to 2 weeks on 2 weeks off when I go back.

What I am going to do ... I have decided is that this week Monday through Friday I will do Levaquin at dinner time. That is only one pill a day. Then on the following Monday through Friday ... I will add the other junk. Then I will be able to see how I feel the rest of May. I go back in June for my LLMD appointment. IF I slide again towards the middle and end of May, I will know that something quite isn't right. We'll make a decision at that point.

One thing I do need to do is go back on my Vit C.

That is funny - APRIL is a weird month. 2 years ago LD exploded in me in APRIL...I was reading my diary from a year ago, I had a full Igenex test again and EVERYTHING was positive like I had done any treatment at all, I was in treatment 10 months by then and it was a horrible, horrible month.

Now this past month of April again has been miserable, just miserable...I am getting Igenex tested again tomorrow, I seriously wonder if I am getting bitten every April! My ILADS LLMD thinks I am.

If I don't improve by next April, I give up...I can't imagine that not much has changed in a year!! What is going on???
