Salt and Vitamin C were major components of the IV treatments I had to eliminate Lyme (and coinfections). Before my treatment I stumbled across this site
Maybe you've seen it, it's quite interesting (detailed photos!) ;)

Hi Christina,
Yes, I actually have a perm post under "Everything you need to know about tick borne diseases" on the salt/c protocol.

Other forums really argue about this protocol like it is so controversial. But I have done it off and on since last November, I REALLY believe this works for killing many things.

This is kinda gross, but it sure proved a point... last night my husband came in from outside and said, "We have worms in our yard" I went out to look, they were the brown "normal" looking worms that burrow in soft dirt. But they were all along the patio at the edge of the lawn. I ran to the computer and found right off the bat the way to get rid of worms in the grass is SALT. So I took some salt and simply walked along the edge of the sidewalk/patio area sprinkling a light layer of sea salt.

I walked back when I had finished the whole edge and the worms were dead already! DEAD!

If a light sprinkling of sea salt will kill worms that are very visible to the eye, I can only imagine what they can kill in us.

Ben Franklin use to say he'd sip sea water when he felt a virus coming on and he'd get well. If you think of it, if you drink sea water, enough of it, it will kill US. It makes perfect sense that in smaller amounts it would kill other organisms in us.

Also, as stated in the link above normal table salt will not kill, sea salt is the "killer". lol.

Thanks for posting...interesting to hear this was used!

Great thread Dana.

Ive been drinking sea salt in my water each day. 1/8 teaspoon in 32 ounces of water. Not sure if I will increase it.

Since being on antibiotics, I believe I developed a yeast sinus infection due to the symptoms. My sister called me, who also had serious problems with her sinuses. Her surgeon highly recommended mixing sea salt in warm water and snorting up your nose to fill the sinus cavity and blowing it back out to kill bacteria, fungus, etc. I have been doing this and it has provided relief from symptoms.

Tonight someone shared with me to get rid of thrush, pour teaspoon of just sea salt on tongue, let it sit for about 1 minute, spit out and rinse. Supposed to help kill fungus. Have not tried this yet, but am interested in doing so.

Seems salt can help with a lot of things.

Wow - that's right salt water for the sinuses is a good saline-type cleanser. That is great it helped.

I do 1/4 of tsp. in a quart of water, a few times a week now, I use to do it everyday - my LLMd said a 1/4 tsp is equal to having a can of soup. It is not a lot really compared to what the "salt/vitamin c'ers" are doing to kill Lyme - they really use much larger doses. But to do that you have to have your electrolytes checked monthly to make sure you aren't sodium high - I have yet to hear anyone say they had a bad result. I have actually read a few lymies say when nothing else worked salt/c saved their lives! (here is the link to the salt/c protocol if anyone wants it: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1044 )

I have had some herxes on it for sure..I remember the first 2 weeks I used it, I got brain fog pretty bad, then I woke up just drenched in sweat and I don't have Babesia, so it was some kind of die off though for sure.

I usually buy the himalayan (pink) salt - but even the all natural pure sea salts from are really good.

How long have you used it Sherri? Have you noticed anything at all change good, bad or indifferent?

I love that experiement Dana, really lets you see how fast it works, and like we talked about before, if it can kill such a large organism so quickly, and if too much salt water can kill a human (ie drinking ocean water in huge amounts) than why couldn't it kill the bacteria's , parasites, etc, that we all have going on? makes a lot of sense!

when I get back into things, gonna definitly give it another go!
