Here is a story of an LD patient that was in my local newspaper this morning. She at one point was so sick she couldn't walk and used a walker, doctors told her she'd keep declining (not even knowing she had LD) and a wheelchair was next. Then she made a decision....

wow, amazing! I'm surprised Dr.S wasn't treating doc...as soon as I read of all the neg. tests, I thought for sure he was the doc, haha...him and his tests... wonder who she's see's... wonder if you can find that out?

i'm not totally clear though, did she only do iv, or did she do several months of orals?

Any advice given by me, is just that, advice. I am not a medical doctor, and I suggest you talk to your doctor about any concerns.

First doctor I thought of too was Dr. S! I would like to find out who her doctor was. There really are only a couple others that were even doing IV in '07 in California.

It is an odd ending sort of - it doesn't explain if she is still in treatment. If not I think she needs to be, I think she prematurely has "accepted" what she thinks is perm damage for possible untreated co-infections or even Lyme still. I can understand that once the nervous system is very infected it can cause damage, but she has tremors and other remaining symptoms (or I suppose damage, but I don't know) I hope she is remaining in treatment..they seem a little too severe to "settle" for at this point!

In our newspaper it shows this awesome picture of her standing on Half Dome. I wish I could find the picture online so you could see it.

It is amazing really how all things start w/a decision and a goal and God...although I can only hope she truly understands where her inner strength came from. I remained the article "Triumph of HIS will".
