Hmmm...well I use to get gingivitis (swollen bleeding gums) all the time until I became a faithful flosser and it strengthened my gums and it stopped.

However, dental problems in general with LD are common.

Have you changed toothpaste, mouthwash, anything new? Medications, supplements?

Here is a link that shows some common reasons for swollen gums, one of them "infection" - LD could be causing it for sure, it does go everywhere. But it also mentions fungal infections.

If it doesn't subside I'd bring it up to my LLMD this week for sure. There are some natural healing mouthwashes available at health stores.

Wish I could offer more advice. Here is the link: http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/sym/swollen_gums.htm

Prayers,
Dana

Hey Jen, I just typed this then lost it so hopefully i didn't post it twice. Anyway, as far as the gums I wouldn't worry too much, I would just rinse with warm salt water and use a good mouthwash like Crest (or it might be Colgate) Pro-Health. I don't think it means gingivitis necessarily.

Sorry about all the other symptoms - the brain fog for me is also the worst. I think people think people must think I have lost my mind. I have to concentrate sooo hard on one tiny thing or it will never get done. Some days it's worse than others. My skin hurts too sometimes, but not all the time. I was on Mepron for 21 days a while back, and I am starting Zithromax tomorrow (I think; I am waiting fo rmy doc to let me know what she is calling in).

What were you on before the Zith? Just curious.

I am thinking of you and praying for you. Julie

Dear Jen,

I have heard that CoQ 10 can help with this. I have had this and it is my whole mouth, it is definately a lyme flare up.

Do not take it while on Mepron or Babesia meds.

C0 Q10 is contraindicated with the babesia meds.

I read in a very good article that it helps with gum swelling. I wish I had the article, but I know that in Burrascano's new guideline Co Q10 is a must when not on babesia meds, start again when you are finished.

I am not sure if it interferes with artemesia
