Can't afford HBOT, try nasal oxygen Rx'd at home benefits listed

Please consult your doctor before using oxygen, a prescription is normally required. Oxygen can be beneficial or it can be deadly if not used correctly. This is not about HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen) but about simple nasal cannula oxygen

I have used home oxygen therapy as needed for years. I found many years ago when working a migraine attack was eased when then company security brought oxygen to me. Years later, I asked my doctor to prescribe it and since then it has always been around my house, used only when I had a migraine, the relief or my migraine was minimal really.

With all the the talk of HyperBaric Oxygen Therapy, I wondered if home oxygen therapy could be of any benefit. HBO penetrates then entire body much deeper that using nasal or face mask oxygen's, but it appears they aren't completely out of the question.

Before I was diagnosed with LD, I used my oxygen more than ever, it seemed to help with anxiety. But I also noticed I felt worse in other ways. Not knowing then what I know now, is it possible I was creating die-off and experiencing a herx reaction?

2 things for sure kill Lyme, oxygen and heat. Sauna's recommended by many (I have not tried) seem to believe saunas are benefcial. Infrared heats the body from the iniside out, the steam stifling heat sauna's heat from the outside in and do not have the toxin release benefits of infrared. (Research both & talk w/youd LLMD)

Since we are all different and respond differently, always discuss with your LLMD the benefits and risks of these therapies for you. I am glad I have it to use as a choice. I use it and believe it penetrates blood, muscles and more, maybe not to the extent of HBO, but oxygen kills LD and to me every little bit helps in my opinion, if the "hosptial" nasal oxygen can save a life, well I think it can penetrate our bodies and kill LD too.

What Oxygen does for you

Receiving home oxygen therapy offers a number of substantial benefits for patients. For instance, sleep disruption due to low oxygen levels will be reduced by using supplemental oxygen. Oxygen therapy has also been known to help improve concentration and memory. Those suffering from oxygen starvation often feel weak and listless. Receiving oxygen increases energy levels and provides an overall feeling of well being. Clinicians often recommend a combination of supplemental oxygen and regular exercise to improve patients quality of life.

Additional Benefits of Oxygen Therapy:

Headache relief
Increased clarity
Boosts immune system
Relieves nausea
Can prevent heart failure in people with severe lung disease
Allows the bodies organs to carry out normal functions
Its decline may prompt muscle spasms, or the 'agonal phase,' from the Greek word agon, or contest."

Symptoms of possible oxygen deficiency:
overall body weakness
circulation problems
poor digestion
muscle aches and pains
memory loss
irrational behavior
muscle spasms
acid stomach
lung problems
increased unhealthy bacteria, germs, viruses and parasites
almost any illness is created or worsened by lowered oxygen supply
